My Family and I

I live in Taipei with father and mother; I do not have any brothers and sisters. My father is an engineer, and he works for LITEON. He is strict with everything; he usually wants things to be perfect. My mother works for Taipei city government, she is a public servant. She is a humorous person; she always takes happiness to the family. When we have free time, we will go shopping together, or go sightseeing. We have good interaction with each other. Sometimes we may have arguments, but we always forget that unhappiness at last. They are perfect parents, and they can understand me and agree what I think about. I love them very much!

About Job Experience in My Future

I do not have any experience about doing jobs, but I have a plan about it. My major is computer science and information engineering, surly I will find a job which is related with what I am major in. My father's major is computer science, just the same as mine. He is an engineer, and he works in LITEON, and I hope that I could be an engineer just like him. In my school life, I want to find a part-time job which is related with computer science. Such as teaching children to learn how to use computers, or helping people to solve computer problems. I will study hard in the university. Because I know if I do not have enough knowledge, I will not have the ability to get a good job in my future.

Experience about Travel in Taiwan

The graduation trip in my senior high school is to Hualien. Hualien is a wonderful place, there are not a lot of skyscrapers, and there are many trees and farms, the air in Hualien is very fresh. We stayed in Hualien for three days, 3 or 4 people lived together in the hotel. We lived in Parkview Hotel, we have an activity to release sky lanterns, but the wind was too strong, a sky lantern fell from the sky, and a tree burned. It was very funny! And the activity is cancelled, we were so sad about it! But I still had a good memory in this trip.

About My Educational Experience

I graduated from Taipei Municipal Tian-Mu Elementary School. Then, I entered Tian Mu junior high school. After that, I entered Zhong Zheng senior high school. I had good memory in my junior high school life. In the three years, I learned a lot of things about communication with people and how to be an effective reader. Our teacher always encouraged us when we feel down. She is a nice teacher. She also cared about every student in her class. She worked so hard that she got sick when I was in the third grade. By good luck, she came back soon. She keeps on teaching us until we graduated from school. Now, my classmates and I visit her when we have a vacation. During my hard time on study, I feel heartened when her words arise in my mind. I also knew my close friends in my senior high school life. They have had positive influence on me. My Senior high school life was very busy. Because entering a qualified university is very competitive, we must take many exams every day. It was the hardest time that I have never met. My friends and I always studied together after classes, because I could not concentrate on my study if I were alone. I deeply appreciated that they studied with me and helped me on my problems.

Experience about Travel in Foreign Country

I have ever been to Indonesia, and Canada.
I have been to Indonesia when I studied in the elementary school. It was like spring all the year around in Indonesia and our baggage is very easy to take, because I didn’t have to carry any heavy clothing. The place which I had deep impression is the sight of Borobudur Temple Compunds. It has many stone carvings about their religion. There are many stairs in Borobudur Temple Compunds. It was very tiring to walk, but it is also worthy to visit, when I stood far away from Borobudur Temple Compunds, and looked it, it is just like a mountain which is made from stones, I was so amazing about these!
I have ever seen news about Canada; the news said that Canada is the most comfortable country for people, in my opinion is was true. I have been to Canada in summer when I was a junior high (The Butchart Gardens)--> school student. The Butchart Gardensis a very beautiful scenic spot in Canada. There are many kind of flowers in The Butchart Gardens, and The Butchart Gardens is very huge. The flowers in The Butchart Gardens bloomed everywhere when I have been there. According to our guide, every season was also beautiful just like we saw at that time. If I had a chance to Canada again, I will choose another season to The Butchart Gardens. It is a wonderful memory to visit The Butchart Gardens, it is the most beautiful garden that I have been to.

An Idol of Language Learning

We met each other when we were in junior high school. We were in different classes, but we became bosom friends. In 2001, she went to Australia to study art, but her English was very poor. She had a good method to overcome this big problem; the method was to speak as more as she could. She told me that she always proved her English from other people. When she spoke a wrong sentence, foreigners would tell her. It needs courage to do like this, her spirit in learning English is a good lesson to me. Now, she speaks English fluently, and studies art happily.

My name is Ellen Yu Ting Sun, I come from Taipei. I was born on October twenty-second, 1986. Now, I am a freshman. My horoscope is Libra, blood type is B, and my hobby is playing piano and collecting stamps. I learned to play piano when I was 5 years old, at first, I had a dream to be a pianist, but I found that I had no talent for it. Though I am not master in playing piano, it is still a hobby to me, when I have a bad mood, I usually sit down in front of my piano to let my mood to be good. Collecting stamps is an accident for me, at first, I didn’t like it, but my parents still bought it for me, until I realized the value of these stamps, I collected them carefully, now these stamps are my treasure.
